These are the bogies that are fitted to most of the LNER Thompson stock and also some of the older LNER coaches. Some BR MkI kitchen cars such as 39-100A were also fitted with these bogies either as a pair or at one end only due to the extra weight of the kitchens causing a poor ride with the BRI Bogies.
